WanbExpress shipping times: how long WanbExpress takes to the US, measured, and how to read WanbExpress tracking
WanbExpress parcels to the US took a median 9 days from the sorting centre scan to the door, and 9 in 10 arrived within 13.

Search how long WanbExpress takes to the US and you get 4 to 7 days, 5 to 15 days or 7 to 10 days, depending on the site. None of them says when the clock starts, and none is measured on parcels.
Measured on WanbExpress parcels to the US from June to mid-August 2026, the median parcel took 9.0 days from its first WanbExpress sorting centre scan to the delivered scan. 9 in 10 arrived within 13.0 days, and fewer than 1 in 100 took longer than three weeks.
This guide covers:
- How long WanbExpress takes to the US from its sorting centre scan
- Why the WanbExpress times you find online disagree
- How far the slow end runs, and what the UK looks like
- Every stage of a WanbExpress tracking history, and on which day it usually shows
- How to read a WanbExpress tracking number and the handover to a US carrier

How long WanbExpress takes to the US: about 9 days at the median
WanbExpress, also written Wanb or Wanbang Express, is a China parcel line usually grouped with the mid-tier lines: priced below frontier lines like YunExpress, with sorting centres in Shenzhen and Shanghai.
Counted from the first sorting centre scan in China to the first delivered scan, on US parcels that got one:
- Median: 9.0 days
- Half of parcels: between 7.9 and 11.0 days
- 9 in 10: within 13.0 days
- 99 in 100: within 20.0 days
Almost every parcel got there: 98.8% of US parcels with a sorting centre scan reached a delivered scan.
Why the WanbExpress times you find online disagree
The ranges online come from tracking sites, not from WanbExpress, and they rarely say which destination or service they describe. One quotes 4 to 7 days with no country, another 5 to 15 days for everything leaving China.
Two more things change the number:
- Which event starts the clock. The first status on a WanbExpress number is label data: "Parcel Data Received", "Parcel information received" or "Shipping Order Created". The parcel may still be at the seller's warehouse. The sorting centre scan ("Parcel received at Shenzhen Sorting Centre") is the first sign WanbExpress has it, so every figure here starts there.
- Order or scan. Your customer counts from the day they ordered. Add your own time from order to the sorting centre scan to every figure here before you put it at checkout.
The slow end: two weeks covers 94 in 100 US parcels
The median is the parcel in the middle. Refund requests and "where is my order" emails come from the slow end.

- Within 7 days of the sorting centre scan: 15%
- Within 10 days: 63%
- Within 14 days: 94%
- More than 21 days: 0.8%, about 1 parcel in 120
The gap between the median and the slowest 1 in 10 is about four days. Past two weeks, the parcels are few enough to handle one by one.
The UK, on a smaller sample from May to mid-August, was a little quicker: a median 8.1 days and 9 in 10 within 10.8. Only about 2 in 3 UK parcels passed a delivered scan back to the tracking, which is common on every line to the UK because the tracking often stops at the handover to the local delivery company. The UK figures cover the parcels that did.
Every stage of a WanbExpress tracking history, and when it shows
WanbExpress uses two sets of wording for the middle of the trip, but the stages are the same. Here is each one, with the median day it appeared after the sorting centre scan on US parcels:

- Parcel Data Received / Parcel information received / Shipping Order Created. Label data. The parcel may not have left the seller yet.
- Parcel received at, then processed at, Shenzhen (or Shanghai) Sorting Centre. WanbExpress has the parcel. Day 0 for everything below.
- Parcel departure in Shenzhen Sorting Centre, usually within hours, around day 0.2.
- Customs declaration completed, then Parcel departure in Transit Facility. Export paperwork done in China, around day 1.7.
- Parcel is leaving Airport (or Hand over to airline, Departure from the original airport). Flown out of China around day 3.3. 9 in 10 had left China by day 5.7.
- Parcel arrives at Airport (or Arrival to the destination airport). Landed in the US, around day 4.4. The flight scan to the arrival scan took 0.8 days at the median.
- Custom clearance completed (or Released from customs: customs cleared). Handed on for the US leg, around day 5.1. From arrival to clearance took 0.6 days at the median, and 9 in 10 were through within 1.9 days.
- US carrier scans. Hub and facility scans across the US, often named by an airport code such as LAX, JFK or ORD.
- Out for delivery, around day 8.8, then delivered.
The quietest stretch is step 8. From clearance to out for delivery took 3.4 days at the median, and 9 in 10 were out for delivery within 5.7 days of clearance. A parcel sitting on a US hub scan for three or four days is normal; one quiet for a week after clearance is worth a look. The guide to why your parcel from China is stuck has the normal quiet time after each status.
How to read a WanbExpress tracking number
A WanbExpress tracking number is WNB, two more letters, ten digits, and YQ at the end, 17 characters in all. You can track it on WanbExpress's site or on any tracking aggregator.
Two things in a WanbExpress history confuse customers:
- "USPS Awaiting Item" early on. About 1 in 8 US parcels show statuses like "Picked Up By Shipping Partner, USPS Awaiting Item" within a day of the sorting centre scan. The US delivery label is made in advance; it does not mean the parcel is already in the US. The real US scans start after clearance.
- A new company name at the end. For the last leg, WanbExpress hands the parcel to a US carrier: USPS on about 1 in 4 parcels, a private delivery company on the rest. The delivered scan is written by that carrier, often with where the parcel was left, such as the front door or the mailbox.
What delivery time to show for WanbExpress orders
Your shipping rate name is the promise your customer reads, and it should be in calendar days from the order. The WanbExpress part of that number, from the sorting centre scan to the door, held within 13 days for 9 in 10 US parcels in this window. To that, add:
- Your time from order to the sorting centre scan. Measure it on your own orders: it depends on your processing and your warehouse, not on WanbExpress.
- A margin for December, when every route slows. The guide to Q4 shipping dates from China has last year's peak numbers.
The guide to a shipping policy for a store that ships from China has order-to-door ranges by country across all lines, and the wording to put them in.
How to check it for your own store
- Export your last three months of orders with the tracking number, order date and delivered date.
- Keep the numbers that start with WNB to look at WanbExpress on its own.
- Find the first sorting centre scan in each tracking history, and work out days from that scan to delivered and from the order to that scan.
- Work out the median and the slowest 1 in 10 of each. The sum of the two slow ends is a safe promise.
- Count the orders over 21 days. That share is your refund risk, and on these numbers it should be under 1 in 100.
What to do
- Start the clock at the sorting centre scan, not at "Parcel Data Received"
- Quote calendar days from the order, adding your own order-to-scan time
- Tell customers about the USPS label status, so "Awaiting Item" does not read as stuck
- Check a parcel by its latest status, using the stage days above, not by how many days it has been
- Measure your own parcels every quarter, because the product and the season move the numbers
How we handle this at Commercive
Commercive is your all in one sourcing and fulfilment partner. We recommend frontier lines like YunExpress, Yanwen and 4PX to essentially every brand we work with. A mid-tier line like WanbExpress could be a fair call on price for some products and destinations, and the line is chosen per product and per destination.
Every parcel's scans show in our dashboard from the first carrier scan to the delivered scan, including the handover to the US carrier, so you can see which stage a WanbExpress parcel is at and measure your own times instead of trusting a quote. Our measured delivery times by line and country are on our shipping status page, and the guides to YunExpress shipping times and Yanwen shipping times cover the two frontier lines that carry most of our parcels.
If you're currently running a brand, just give us the product and your daily order volume. We'll get you a quote within the next 24 hours to hold up against what you're paying today.
How we measured this. Every WanbExpress parcel shipped from stores we fulfil from China to a US address with a first tracking event between 1 June and 15 August 2026, test stores excluded, measured on 17 October 2026 so every parcel had at least 62 days. Times are calendar days from the first WanbExpress sorting centre scan to the first delivered scan, on parcels that had both; 77% of US parcels carried a sorting centre scan. Stage days are medians over the parcels that show each status, on parcels with a first event from 20 June to 11 July 2026. UK figures are from May to mid-August on a smaller sample. Published WanbExpress times are from tracking aggregator pages, read on 17 October 2026.
How long does WanbExpress take to the US?
On WanbExpress parcels to the US from June to mid-August 2026, the median was 9.0 days from the first sorting centre scan to delivered. 9 in 10 arrived within 13.0 days of that scan. Add your own time from order to the sorting centre scan for what the customer sees.
Why is my WanbExpress tracking not updating?
The longest normal quiet spell is inside the US, after "Custom clearance completed": it took a median 3.4 days to reach out for delivery, and 9 in 10 within 5.7 days. Before the sorting centre scan, the number shows only label data, so a few quiet days there mean the parcel has not reached WanbExpress yet.
What does "Parcel Data Received" mean on WanbExpress?
The label has been created and WanbExpress has the shipping details. It does not mean WanbExpress has the parcel. The first physical scan is "Parcel received at Shenzhen Sorting Centre", or Shanghai.
What does a WanbExpress tracking number look like?
WNB, two more letters, ten digits and YQ at the end, 17 characters in all. Tracked on an aggregator, it shows the scans from China and, later, from the US carrier.
Is WanbExpress the same as Wanb or Wanbang Express?
Yes. Tracking sites list the same line as WanbExpress, Wanb Express and Wanbang Express. The tracking number format above is the same whichever name you see.
